Red quinoa has a stronger, nutty flavor when compared with white quinoa. It holds its shape and has a firm, chewy texture even when cooked for long periods of time making it a perfect grain to use in salads and pilafs. Red quinoa is gluten free and a complete protein making it a good nutritional additional for vegans and vegetarians.
Depending on availability, the origin of our quinoa will change between Bolivia and Peru, as quinoa is grown on the border between these two countries.
Due to differences in harvesting and cleaning, Peruvian Quinoa is not ideal for processors.
