Our Organic Spelt Pasta is crafted in Portland, Oregon by Rallenti Pasta using 100% Organic Elwha Hulless Spelt sourced through our Hummingbird Farm Connections Program. Made with traditional bronze dies and a slow-dry process, this pasta develops a wonderfully rustic texture that holds sauces beautifully.

Spelt pasta is a nutritious, ancient grain noodle with a slightly nutty, sweet flavor and chewier texture than regular wheat pasta, offering more protein, fiber, B vitamins (thiamin, niacin), and minerals like magnesium and zinc. Made from spelt, an ancestor of wheat, its gluten is water-soluble, making it potentially easier to digest, and pairs well with various sauces.

Cooking Directions: Fill a large stockpot with water and bring to a boil. Add 1½ tablespoons of salt to water. Plunge the Organic spelt pasta into boiling water. Stir and return to a rolling boil and cook for 5-7 minutes or until al dente. Separate the pasta gently with fork during cooking to prevent clumping. Remove from heat and drain pasta in large colander over the sink.
