Our Coconut Aminos come to us from a vendor whose ideals around sustainability are about "continuously improving and harmonizing our economic, social and environmental performance to positively impact our people, communities, planet and profit."

When the coconut tree is tapped, it produces a highly nutrient-rich "sap" that exudes from the coconut blossoms. This sap is a very low glycemic, abundant source of amino acids, minerals, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins and has a nearly neutral pH. This sap is then fermented and salt is added, and interestingly has no coconutty flavor.

The sea salts used in the Coconut Aminos are also from tropical islands, Mindanao & Bali, respectively. These Coconut Aminos have roughly 75% less sodium than traditional soy sauce.

Use our Organic Coconut Aminos as you would soy sauce or tamari in dressings, marinades, sautés or with sushi.

Each hand-made batch may slightly vary in flavor and color. The product has a naturally occurring fermentation working within it, and may fizz when opened.
