Our Organic Heirloom Kenearly Yellow Eye Beans are grown and harvested by Stahlbush Island Farms in Medford, Oregon. The beans are then transported to Stahlbush Island Farms grain/bean cleaning facility in Corvallis, Oregon.
Kenearly bean is the cultivar variety of our Yellow Eye and very similar to the Maine Yellow Eye Bean with a difference in the way the bean matures uniformly which creates an easier harvest. The kenearly bean also has a slightly larger eye than the Maine yellow eye.
Excellent for a bean salad or baked bean suppers and hearty soups, where the beans cook down into a rich, creamy broth. Soak for 3 to 8 hours or overnight; drain and rinse well. Cover with 2" of water, simmering 1 to 2 hours or until tender.
