Biscuits were a big part of my childhood growing up in the Midwest. Most Saturday mornings—waking up early, shuffling through the pantry, getting out the mixing bowl, preheating the oven, then rolling them out and pushing the floured biscuit cutter down through the cold, pressed dough, cutting out enough biscuits for my whole family.
Making biscuits now is even better. We get to use locally-grown organic flour from Camas Country Mill. I use their Triple-Sifted Edison Hard White flour—it helps make amazing biscuits. Our friends at Party Downtown have a simple recipe for some humdingers! See the video below.
Having all the ingredients in your pantry really helps. I often get derailed when I have to make an early morning trip to get something. So, take a minute today to make sure you have what you need. Please share your results on Instagram or Facebook. Then spoon on the gravy or spread a little honey & butter and enjoy your family and make memories.
