Our Organic Durum Wheat was grown on Huntons’ Farm, a third-generation family farm in Junction City, Oregon, and milled at Camas Country Mill in Eugene, Oregon. The farm was one of the first in the Willamette Valley to transition grass seed acreage to grains and beans. The wheat is stone-ground in small batches to retain maximum freshness.

Durum - from the Latin word for hard - is one of the hardest of all the wheats. Its density, combined with high protein makes durum the choice wheat for making premium pasta products. Durum kernels are larger than most other wheats and are amber and yellow in color, which gives pasta its golden hue.

Our Organic Durum Wheat Flour is traditionally used in pastas, noodles and event breads that need a coarse, hard texture. Durum wheat flour is ideal for spaghetti and lasagna noodles.
