Buckwheat is a fruit seed related to the rhubarb family. Since buckwheat naturally does not contain gluten, it’s a nice alternative to grains for those who are sensitive to gluten.This gRAWnola makes an excellent breakfast cereal with milk or a milk alternative, or yogurt.
Higher Power’s premium products are hand-crafted in small batches. Sprouted seeds are soaked, drained, and rinsed in the crystal clear waters of Ashland, Oregon, and then dried slowly, at low temperatures in food dehydrators over the course of 3 to 5 days. This brings out the natural nutty flavor and maximizes its nutritional value.
This soaking process, also known as sprouting, increases the vitamin C, vitamin B, and carotene content compared to an un-sprouted seed. Sprouting also neutralizes phytic acid which inhibits our bodies from absorbing calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc and other nutrients.
