Oshala Farm is family owned and operated by Jeff and Elise Higley. With a background in Organic vegetable production and Western Herbalism, accompanied by a belief that herbs should be grown domestically by dedicated family farmers, Jeff and Elise launched their line of Organic herbal teas and Organic vinegars.
As a way to connect customers with locally adaptive and native plants, Oshala Farm products are made with herbs and fruits grown on their farm, located in Southern Oregon’s lush Applegate Valley. Herbs are harvested as they reach the peak of potency and dried on site in commercial dryers before being packed into delicious and soothing blends. Apples are picked from their orchard before being pressed and fermented on site.
Oshala Farm actively engages in social and environmental work. They host educational events and workshops, work with Rogue Farm Corps and Farm Next Program to train farm students, and ran the successful GE crop ban campaign in Jackson County, Oregon. Today farmers in their area grow traditional seed crops without the threat of GE contamination.
