Hazelnuts, Roasted, Whole

Our third-year Transitional Hazelnuts are grown on a family farm in Scio, Oregon. The farm grows a new hazelnut variety named Sacajawea, that was bred at Oregon State University in 1990. The new variety of trees are said to be more resistant to eastern filbert blight, yield more nuts, and produce nuts whose flavor characteristics are similar to the highly prized Italian varieties.

Made in small batches to ensure freshness, our hazelnuts are lightly roasted to bring out a rich and creamy flavor.

Hazelnuts are great for snacking or trail mixes; use them in baking and confections; dice them up and sprinkle on salads or ice cream. Enjoy this delight grown in the beautiful state of Oregon.
