Description

Our Organic Barhi Dates are grown primarily by Southwest farmers. Out of season, our Barhi Dates are sourced from Tunisia or Algeria. A ripe Barhi date is very softy, so it is packed and shipped in small quantities to ensure an intact date.

Barhi is said to be the softest date. Ripe Barhi dates are small and round in shape. They are golden brown in color with a somewhat chewy texture. Barhi dates have inverted sugar, therefore they are very sweet and creamy in flavor.

Dates are high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. Fresh dates are versatile and can be served fresh or cooked. Dates are delicious as a base in raw food desserts and pair well with sweet and savory flavors, goat and sheep’s milk cheeses, bacon and sausage as well as fresh fruits.
