Coconut Flour, Gluten-Free
Sourced from the Philippines, our Organic Coconut Flour is ground from dried, defatted coconut meal. Defatted means that much of the coconut milk and oil has been removed for other uses. Coconut Flour is rich in protein, fiber and fat, so it is filling and nutritious. It’s also a good source of lauric acid and manganese.
Tips for baking with Coconut Flour: Coconut Flour is very absorbent, so it’s best to substitute ¼ cup to 1/3 cup coconut flour for 1 cup wheat flour, as well as increase the number of eggs (or egg substitute) and the liquid in the recipe.
