Buckwheat Sprouting Seed
Our Organic Sprouting Buckwheat is grown by Rainshadow Organics just outside of Sisters, Oregon.
Sprouting Buckwheat is full of vitamins and nutrients, including all of the B vitamins, magnesium, manganese, selenium, rutin, and lecithin.
Sprouting a seed takes it out of dormancy and brings it to life, releasing its full nutritional benefits. To sprout buckwheat, cover one cup of the seed with 2–3 cups water and soak for an hour. Drain in a colander and rinse. (The buckwheat will be gooey with starch unless thoroughly rinsed.) Pour seeds in a jar and cover with sprouting screen. Rinse three times per day with cool water for two days. Sprouts will form after a day or two.
Sprouted buckwheat is delicious in granola, salads, or as a breakfast cereal—just add fruit, honey, cinnamon, and enjoy!
