Honey, Bulk Wildflower
Our Wildflower Honey comes primarily from Northeast Oregon. When spring begins, the bees are brought to an apple or cherry orchard to pollinate for one month. They are then moved to the foothills of the Oregon Blue Mountains where nectar is sourced from a variety of mountain wildflowers and brush, including fireweed, star thistle, vetch, serviceberry, huckleberry, mock orange, sumac, elderberry, blackberry, and snowberry.
Wildflower honey has a dark, warm, rich flavor. We noticed a deep caramel flavor with our current batch of Oregon Wildflower Honey. This honey is rich in minerals and favored by professional bakers.
Honey will naturally crystallize over time, which does not diminish the quality or flavor. If desired, you may heat gently in a warm water bath to liquefy.
Unfiltered and raw (not heated over 115 ˚F) our honey still contains traces of pollen and propolis, and has no additives.
